[Monstober Day 24:Mara Kannon]

It’s always fun to create a character that’s initially not meant to do much more than serve a single purpose, and might not even get a name, and end up having that character be brought back for a greater purpose. Mara Kannon’s design definitely hearkens to the monsters he’s inspired by, I hope to see more of him and the girl depicted here!

[Monstober Day 23:Beelzebub]

I actually only knew that Beelzebub, Satan and Lucifer were separate entities because of Neil Gaiman’s Sandman comic! I love your design for him! The eyes are my favorite part in particular.

[Monstober Day 22:Lefu]

Very creepy! His inhuman proportions help sell him as a monster, having him abandon clothes as a human construct is really clever. I like that even though Lefu is powerful himself, and is presumably much older and wiser than Viktor, he’s still the one who ends up being the sidekick.
I’ve been loving your Monstober drawings, I can’t get enough of your art! It’s always a treat to see.

Don’t get me wrong, I love the usual sexy seductive vampire, but vampires who look downright monstrous hit different. A vampire who’s completely denounced and cut off any humanity definitely makes for a threatening villain. The lore you gave him is really interesting, it really helps make him out to be a bastard you just love to hate.

I’d also be interested to see what he’d look like if he were ever brought back, maybe throw some Frankenstein’s Monster influence in there too! Incredible art as usual.

Love the harsh black shadows here, great use of lighting! Is there any chance that we’ll get to see Lycaon’s wolf forms?
Great song choice btw, really heightens the feeling of the art!

[Monstober Day 19:Leviathan]

I remember reading about the Leviathan as a kid, and being frightened by the description of a biblical monster that could only and would only be killed by God, how nothing else could even scratch its indestructible scales. Even if your version doesn’t have that aspect, the sheer size and the design itself are more than enough to be just as frightening! The abundance of eyes and twist I’m guessing are bioluminescent bits elevate it above usual leviathan designs. Great stuff!
