What a fun coincidence, my brother just introduced me to the Vindicares for the first time yesterday. And here I am now, getting an explanation of them!
I always enjoy reading your descriptions, they help to further my understanding and enjoyment of the artwork. Amazing work as always, I look forward to more of it!
The bot himself! He looks amazing here, now I want to draw him, lol. Great work!
Thanks for the kind words, I'm sure you'd make a sick Fulgore!
Cringe and edge are genuinely important. As cringeworthy as they are, they're unfiltered expressions of human emotion, y'know? 2000's legit formed me as a person, for better or for worse. I love video essays like that.
As for the art, the filter you've put over it adds so much! It makes it feel like I'm looking at this through a bad CRT screen that's filled with static. It captures the grunge and angst of the series without feeling overbearing, and being great art to boot.
I loved getting to read your thoughts! Keep up the amazing work, my dude!
Just as 90's and 80's nostalgia have had their time, I think we are approaching the era wherein, cultural aspects of 00's will return, especially as ppl who were raised in that decade grow older. It will be interesting to see if ever happens.
And thanks for the compliments. I've found the noise filter and grainy rendering I do work best when the image is kind of dark, as it delivers more of the static effect you referred to. Might start using darker colors to take advantage of this.
Halina knows to stay strapped or get clapped!
But knowing her, she'll probably end up doing both.
hehehe :D
What that tongue do tho?
Only just now finding your work, and it's absolutely amazing! I look forward to seeing more of this!
I remember reading some of the original manga, and being blown away by not only how dark they were, but by how little they had to do with the card game. I wonder what it would have been like if the franchise stuck with that premise, rather than the cards?
God, the sheen on that metal skull is just... delicious
You've captured such a visceral sense of power and speed! Amazing work, as always!
it’s like heart and artist do you get it
